TREE PLANTATION ACTIVITY

Continuing with its tradition of preserving the environment and having eco-friendly activities, the “Tree Plantation Activity” was conducted along the banks of Indrayani River on 4 th August 2024. Understand the importance of nature for our existence and conserve the nature in all manners, is our moral responsibility. It’s not too hard to believe that without trees we, humans would not exist on this beautiful planet. Also, we have felt the change of purity in nature and reduction in pollution effect during this pandemic situation. While the latest technology has provided us with many comforts, the consequent urbanization and industrialization also have some undesirable side effects; Global Warming, deforestation, soil erosion are some of those issues and planted 300+ trees. In order to achieve the aim of reforestation, we planted various Indian species plants across the periphery of the village. These were selected plants which will give benefits to villagers in the nearby future. Our aim was not just to plant the trees but also to conserve them, so Rotary International Club is taking care of those plants. This event is a positive step towards achieving a healthy environment and to reconnect humans to nature and foster environmental stewardship.
